About Us

History of QEC

Quality Electrical Contractors was established in 1972 by Bob Alexander. The company began in Greenville, SC and served customers in the Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson areas. QEC has established great, lifelong relationships with their customers, serving second and third generations.  We offer customers old fashioned, safe and reliable services with today’s fast growing technologies and efficiencies.

Developing QEC

Bob worked hard to establish a strong company recognized as being dependable and reputable by many families and businesses located in the upstate of South Carolina. As a result, the local building authorities and industry business associates recommend QEC by name and are often used as references to our customers.

In 1998, Bob decided to retire in order to serve others around the world. Bob’s son Shane purchased the family business. Shane began his career at QEC as a child. He swept and organized the warehouse, eventually working his way through installations, estimating and management. Today, he is a Master Electrician upholding an unlimited electrical license.

Shane carries on the legacy of Honesty, Integrity and Service, while understanding today’s technologies and applications. QEC still maintains a good, old-fashioned reliable service for its customers, keeping in mind their needs and desires along with their concerns of affordability and efficiency.

Our Relationships and Values

In serving the industry for as many years as QEC has, we have established many personal relationships with our customers, employees, subcontractors and vendors. We value their relationships and the success of their businesses.

We at QEC value our community. We encourage students to study hard and enjoy the hard work and disciplines to be successful. We support and lead in many children and adult recreational activities, promoting better health. We also support strong family values, offering help to those in need.

QEC: The Present

Today, QEC operates as a strong team of designers, managers, estimators, technicians and trainees. We conduct weekly meetings to remain unified and informed in order to uphold the reputation that was established more than four decades ago. We operate our business as a family atmosphere, teaching our employees the value of servant leadership.

As a small family business, we fully rely on God for all our endeavors. We know that God is our Creator, and we trust Him as our Savior, following Him daily as our Life Sustainer. We know that God has established H.I.S. Power for QEC’s Purpose!
